Carlo Lambro, Brand President, New Holland Agriculture
In recent years, the world of agriculture is affected by many challenges: difficulties in sourcing raw materials, rising costs of materials and energy, international conflicts and instability, but also drought and climate change. Our role is to give farmers the tools to improve the efficiency and productivity of farming while optimizing operational results. Technology plays a key role in this: it improves potential crop yields and crop input efficiencies by requiring less and less effort and optimizing processes. This is why we are always present at Agritechnica, to reaffirm our leading role on technology research and development.
The challenges facing the world of agriculture are obvious to all. Not only is climate change and its consequences threatening crops, but also factors not strictly related to nature, such as international conflicts, increases in the cost of energy and raw materials, and difficulties in obtaining supplies. We also know that in the future more will have to be produced relying on less available resources and land. That is why it is extremely important to invest in technological development and research to equip products with integrations at the cutting edge of innovation.
New Holland makes digitization a top priority. Our machines are increasingly connected and take advantage of Precision Land Management, which enables the highest quality applications to increase productivity and comfort while reducing costs. In recent years we have also invested heavily in technologies that move in the direction of total automation.
A further important aspect is the ongoing commitment to sustainability: for New Holland this is not new but a long-standing project, particularly with regard to alternative energy research.
For more than 15 years, the company has been at the forefront of producing machines that could harness green energy or technological solutions that bring the agriculture industry closer to the goal of greater sustainability. We launched our Clean Energy Leader strategy in 2006, and seven years later we showed the world the first prototype CNG tractor. Now we want to do more: we know that one of the biggest challenges is to maximize productivity while reducing CO2 emissions: bio-methane production through the reuse of biomass can only be the way forward in this regard. We are convinced of this project and continue to invest in this direction to make the dream of a completely energy-independent farm a reality. This and more is what we will show at AGRITECHNICA.

Dr. Johannes Sonnen, Business & Product Management, DKE-Data
Data exchange and the associated networking along the agricultural value chain are becoming increasingly important in order to constantly optimise agricultural production processes. At AGRITECHNICA 2023, visitors will be able to experience smart farming products bundled and application-oriented in one hall for the first time. They will also be able to take a look at technologies that provide them with partial, strong or even completely automatic support for the necessary documentation obligations.
After the long period without a trade fair, we are looking forward to the world's leading trade fair AGRITECHNICA 2023. In Hanover, visitors from Germany and abroad can experience products and services from a wide range of exhibitors from the agricultural sector bundled in several exhibition halls and engage in exchange. In our view, this opportunity is unique for trade fair visitors in this dimension. Under the central theme GREEN PRODUCTIVITY, AGRITECHNICA 2023 will increasingly focus on topics such as CO2 reduction, sustainable agriculture, robotics, autonomy, electrification and smart farming, in addition to many other innovations.
The exchange of data and the associated networking along the agricultural value chain in indoor and outdoor farming is becoming increasingly important, as customers want or need to constantly optimise their agricultural production processes. At AGRITECHNICA 2023, visitors will have the opportunity for the first time to get to know smart farming products bundled and application-oriented in one hall. There, for example, they will be shown the possibilities for the continuous optimisation of agricultural production processes, for example through savings or through the more targeted application of operating resources (seed, fertiliser, plant protection). Visitors will also be able to see technologies that provide partial, strong or even completely automatic support for the necessary documentation obligations.
Agricultural traders are increasingly becoming partners not only in the mechatronic but also in the digital field. The importance of cooperations, even among competitors, is steadily increasing and thus enhances the interoperability necessary for process optimisation. The interoperability between products and services from a wide range of suppliers, which has long been demanded by farmers and contractors, is taking on a dimension that shows farmers and contractors as entrepreneurs potential for optimisation that was not previously possible in this form across manufacturers.

Martin Rauch, CEO, RAUCH Landmaschinenfabrik
In Europe, the maximum yield of the plant will become much more important in the future as a leading parameter for increasing yields. RAUCH technology enables fertilisation that is precise to the part area, which guarantees increasing fertiliser efficiency. In addition, our innovations stand for precise placement. This results in an increase in yield, cost savings and environmental protection. In order to place these technologies more nationally and internationally, AGRITECHNICA is the perfect communication platform and a must for every agricultural machinery manufacturer.
Due to climate change and urbanisation, agricultural land will decrease by about 10 percent by 2050. In order to still be able to feed all people, agriculture must become around 60 percent more productive globally. On the one hand, in the European markets, agricultural land is declining very strongly and thus the maximum yield of the plant also functions much more strongly as the leading variable for increasing yields in crops. On the other hand, in less developed regions, the usable area is being increased by clearing forest, for example, and the machines must be correspondingly simple and robust in order to have a much higher degree of utilisation on the very large areas that have been created. In order to produce the necessary agricultural productivity in these regions, a great deal of basic knowledge still needs to be imparted in order to familiarise people with the machines, but also with agricultural skills.
For RAUCH, the focus is on the guiding theme of Green Productivity, in keeping with AGRITECHNICA 2023. RAUCH technology enables fertiliser to be applied to the exact area, which guarantees increased fertiliser efficiency and means that only the quantities of fertiliser that are actually needed need to be applied. In addition, RAUCH innovations stand for precise placement, which means that losses due to double-spread areas or beyond the field boundary are avoided. This not only brings an increase in yield, but also a cost saving with consideration of the environmental impact.
In order to place precisely these technologies more prominently in the national, but also international market, a leading international trade fair such as AGRITECHNICA is considered the perfect communication platform and a must for every agricultural machinery manufacturer.

Christian Kirchhoff, CEO, K.U.L.T. Kress Umweltschonende Landtechnik
Food security, biodiversity and climate change are the challenges in our increasingly complicated world. Farmers with their responsible work are an important and decisive factor in this. Our company has been involved with GREEN PRODUCTIVITY since its foundation and has repeatedly developed new solutions specifically for chemical-free weed control. AGRITECHNICA as the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology is a very important sales tool for us and an opportunity to feel the "pulse of time".
Since 1991, we have participated 15 times without interruption and have been able to chalk up every edition as a success. The contact with so many farmers and professional colleagues, moreover at this high level, is of crucial importance for us and the entire agricultural machinery industry and represents a decisive competitive advantage for the German agricultural machinery industry.
As a manufacturer of technology for chemical-free weed control, we find it super exciting to face the challenges of the future. It is a truism that we have to adapt to new conditions. Climate change and also constraints imposed by social demands call for the development of new technical processes that save energy and, above all, water and other resources.
The trend towards digitalisation is particularly worthy of mention here, and new integrated cultivation methods are to be understood as a social challenge in line with the trade fair's central theme - GREEN PRODUCTIVY. Through the development of new technology, the agricultural machinery industry is creating modern, attractive jobs in agriculture that are comparable to those in industry and the trades, and is thus making a significant contribution to making agriculture in Germany more profitable and also inspiring young people to take up this profession.
For example, robots in the field are also no longer a sensation and our systems also run very successfully in robotic systems. AI is also already a topic and so in the future it will certainly be possible to develop systems of mechanical weed control that specifically leave protected species that are not relevant to yields standing. Social demands can thus be met with practically applicable new techniques.

Our industry faces a very special challenge: developing technical solutions for farms looking for flexible and adaptable solutions to increasing weather extremes. AGRITECHNICA's main theme GREEN PRODUCTIVITY could not express the current situation and challenge facing agriculture any better. We would therefore also like to take advantage of the upcoming world fair for agricultural technology to present extensive machine innovations from HORSCH and to seek intensive exchange with customers.
The last few years have been characterised by major challenges, which also occupy us as agricultural machinery manufacturers. In addition to issues such as supply chain problems, skills shortages and increases in production and personnel costs due to the pandemic and the Ukraine war, our industry is facing a very special issue: the development of technical solutions for farms looking for flexible and adaptable solutions to increasing weather extremes.
As agricultural machinery manufacturers, we need to understand the soil and its many possibilities even better in order to develop modern agronomic and technical solutions for different climates. In addition, the growing professionalisation of farms demands constant further development in agricultural technology.
AGRITECHNICA's main theme GREEN PRODUCTIVITY could not express the current situation and challenge of agriculture any better. We would therefore like to take advantage of the upcoming world fair for agricultural technology to present a wide range of new machines from HORSCH and to seek intensive exchange with national and international customers.

Nicola Lemken, shareholder and member of the management at Lemken
It is our task as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery to provide farmers with good process solutions with which they can position themselves for the future. We need efficiency-enhancing technologies as well as an improvement in machine intelligence up to autonomously operating units. AGRITECHNICA offers us a unique opportunity to present our innovations and visions for better agriculture to international trade visitors and to exchange ideas with them.
Agriculture today faces several major challenges: the growing world population, climate change and species decline. Local farms are increasingly struggling with changing climate conditions such as drought or the rise in average temperatures. In addition, there are increasingly stringent environmental regulations that must be observed.
It is our task as an agricultural machinery manufacturer to provide farmers with good process solutions that will enable them to position themselves for the future. This is, for example, mechanical weed control to reduce the use of crop protection products or machines for shallow tillage. It is also about developing processes that promote soil regeneration.
We need efficiency-enhancing technologies that reduce the time and manpower required, as well as an improvement in machine intelligence, right up to autonomously operating units. AGRITECHNICA offers us a unique opportunity to present our innovations and visions for better agriculture to international trade visitors and to exchange ideas with them.

The challenges worldwide are due to dwindling agricultural land, which is also going to lead to more contamination and foreign matter in the future. With our technological seed and grain processing techniques, we contribute to reducing the loss of valuable grain in the post-harvest processes by processing it according to requirements. AGRITECHNICA is a global centre of attraction and thus a very suitable platform for discussing appropriate solutions.
The challenges in agriculture worldwide are due to dwindling agricultural land, which is going to lead to more and more contamination and foreign stock in the future. Climate change is causing ever drier soils that are increasingly unsuitable for agriculture. On the other hand, cereals fall victim to regionally increasing precipitation immediately or due to inappropriate reaction in the subsequent processing. Furthermore, regional disputes currently limit or block huge areas of agricultural land. The reduction of fertilisers and pesticides also results in higher contamination of the fields. All in all, the pressure for an urgent increase in agricultural productivity, harvesting and post-harvest processing is increasing enormously.
Strong Seed. Healthy Grain. PETKUS. We have defined this claim for the creation of our company in order to meet this pressure to increase productivity. Our mission is to live up to it through our numerous innovations and continuous work with our employees at headquarters and in the many subsidiaries.
Specifically, it is to reduce the loss of valuable grain in the post-harvest processes with our technological seed and grain processing techniques by processing it according to requirements. In this process, diseases must be detected on-line and in real time and, if possible, eliminated or cured. In the further stages of the value chain, our technologies ensure the optimal selection of the most resistant and vigorous seed.
For decades, AGRITECHNICA has been the world's most important showcase for presenting new technologies and discussing them with enthusiastic visitors. AGRITECHNICA is a worldwide centre of attraction and thus a very suitable platform to discuss the problems described above and their possible solutions. We wish AGRITECHNICA 2023 the success it deserves!

Stefan Top, CEO, AVR
The challenges for European agriculture are enormous. There is increasing political pressure on agriculture to be more environmentally friendly. There are the challenges of climate change, consolidation and farm succession. The guiding theme "GREEN PRODUCTIVITY", which the DLG has chosen for the next edition of the fair, is therefore very topical. AVR is committed to providing its customers with technologies for more sustainable potato cultivation. We are therefore pleased to be able to exhibit this technology at the upcoming AGRITECHNICA.
The challenges facing European agriculture are enormous. Political pressure on agriculture to be more environmentally friendly is increasing, as evidenced by the nitrogen problem in a number of Member States, the banning of certain plant protection products and the tightening of legislation for more accurate use of plant protection products. Just think of the challenges of climate change: prolonged droughts alternate with abundant rainfall, the "extremes" become normal.
There is also consolidation and succession within farms. Finding sufficient labour is proving to be a challenge.
The theme "GREEN PRODUCTIVITY", which the DLG has chosen for the next edition of the fair, is therefore very topical. AVR does everything it can to provide its customers with the necessary technology for potato cultivation. Sustainable cultivation, impact and automation are the most important goals here. We are therefore pleased to be able to exhibit the latest technologies at the upcoming AGRITECHNICA.

Christian Dreyer, Chairman of the Management Board and co-owner of the AMAZONE Group
The core objective for agriculture and thus also for Amazone is to create a high yield level per hectare of land with sustainable methods. Amazone would like to help our farmers and contractors with innovative solutions to further orient themselves in a future-oriented and sustainable way. The world's leading trade fair AGRITECHNICA therefore offers the perfect international platform for us to personally exchange with our customers about their individual requirements and to present many Amazone innovations for intelligent crop production.
An economically sensible increase in performance through larger and faster machines also includes the efficient use of all inputs. Increasing precision farming improves resource efficiency for the mutual benefit of farmers and the environment. Ecologisation with an increase in biodiversity will be a goal of modern agriculture, so that it opens up sustainably good prospects for future generations. Expanded crop rotations, intensive intercropping and a focus on companion plants generate innovations, especially in soil cultivation and sowing techniques as well as mechanical plant care.
The core objective for agriculture and thus also for Amazone is to create a high yield level per hectare of area with sustainable methods. However, the efficiency can no longer be increased by simply increasing the size of machines. Therefore it is necessary to improve the efficiency of the production processes by means of digitalisation and automation and to treat the crops as precisely as possible. In the future, the application of all inputs must be even more precise at the edge of the field, in the subplot, in the row and even in relation to the individual plant. This is associated with a further increase in the precision of sowing, fertilising and crop protection technology in the field and at the field edge.
In co-operation with farmers, universities and partners from the industry we participate worldwide in the development of new arable farming methods with flexible and fuel efficient soil tillage and sowing systems as well as technologies for the ideal distribution and sensible reduction of the crop protection and fertiliser application. Amazone would like to make a decisive contribution to world nutrition and to help our farmers and contractors with innovative solutions to further orientate themselves in a future-oriented and sustainable way. The world's leading trade fair AGRITECHNICA therefore offers the perfect international platform for us to personally exchange with our customers about their individual requirements and to present many Amazone innovations for intelligent crop production.
