Atlas Weyhausen is at Agritechnica

Atlas Weyhausen will be showing three weycor wheel loaders with agricultural attachments at the Agritechnica 2023 trade fair (12 to 18 November) in Hanover. The stand is located in Hall 6, the stand number is D37. In addition to an AR 380 with a bale fork, the AR 480 equipped with a manure fork with a hydraulic hold-down device will be on display. The exhibition programme is rounded off by the AR 660, a wheel loader equipped with wide agricultural tyres and a fold-out 6-metre wide green fork. All other weycor equipment will be medially represented on the stand.
In addition to the well-known weycor highlights, the available options for agriculture include the extended lifting device, the 40 km/h high-speed option, Euro coupling for the AR 400 - AR 530 models, 4th hydraulic section at the rear or front, as well as the equipment with air conditioning and wide agricultural tyres. From the AR 550 model onwards, the fan reversal function is also offered.
8.2 t wheel loader power
With its weycor wheel loaders, Atlas Weyhausen stands for well engineered technology and reliable performance: extremely solid machines for many hours of use.
Prime example for this: the 8.2 t weycor AR 550 wheel loader covers diverse range of tasks on dairy farm. High lifting and tear-out force.
The 8.2 t AR 550 wheel loader must always be on duty. Seven days a week, 365 days a year. It works on Hartwig Tietjen's farm in Gyhum in the Rotenburg district of Lower Saxony. "We have had the best experience with weycor for over ten years. The new AR 550 wheel loader has also been working perfectly on the farm for a few months now," says Hartwig Tietjen. He has been the boss on the 212 ha farm and dairy farmer since 2012, the fifth generation.
Loader power
With its weycor wheel loaders, Atlas Weyhausen stands for sophisticated technology and reliable performance. The AR 550 is powered by an 85 kW/115.5 hp engine. This engine is the basis for the powerful hydraulics and creates a ripping force of 7,200 daN and a lifting force of 8,200 daN. "When we load silage or stack hay bales, the AR 550 shows how much power it really has. We can work quickly with it," reports Tietjen from practical experience.
Solid construction means little wear
The weycor wheel loader is equipped with robust Z-kinematics that enable high tearing force. In addition, its design provides the best possible view of the working area. The well thought-out technology ensures safe driving - even off-road - and robust stability. This includes low-maintenance articulated swing joints in combination with rigid axles with planetary reduction in the wheel hubs and electrically switchable 100% differential locks in the front and rear axles. With an oscillation of ±12° in the rear and an articulation angle of 40° on both sides, these ensure excellent off-road mobility, driving that is gentle on the ground and extreme manoeuvrability. Due to the low centre of gravity, weycor wheel loaders have high tipping stability even under extreme ground conditions.
Comfortable and safe operation
One "lever" operates all functions. The weycor joystick puts the wheel loader in the palm of your hand. The bucket returns to the digging position automatically, as does the centre position. In case of engine failure, all four wheels are locked. There is a separate inching pedal in the weycor wheel loader. Unlike the combined brake/inching pedal, the danger of driving against the service brake is eliminated. A generously dimensioned inching range enables sensitive distribution of the pushing and lifting forces. The result is less wear and fuel consumption.

Modern farm operation
Hartwig Tietjen manages his farm with a total of 8 employees. Everyone has their own area of responsibility and, as is normal on a dairy farm, they are active seven days a week. A few years ago he moved part of his farm to a new location. This now allows more freedom of movement and a more stringent organisation. The new AR 550 fits well into this concept. Like its predecessor, it is in use for about 120 hours a month. It is used for work on the farm such as loading fodder and straw, mucking out, bedding, loading bulk goods (fertiliser, etc.) and also for small earthworks. Maintenance of the machine is simple. Centrally located service points, which are easy to reach, allow this routine task to be completed quickly. If there is really a problem, the people from Atlas von der Wehl in Lauenbrueck, the servicing dealer, are quickly on site. "We very rarely had a problem in the past years, but when it was necessary, von der Wehl helped very quickly," says Tietjen. The quick-change device is also helpful. The implements, such as various shovels, forks, sweeping brushes, etc., can be changed without taking much time. This means that the work is not really interrupted.
