European Wheat Event at Agritechnica 2007

Building on the success of the first European Wheat Event last Agritechnica, leading European grain producers and merchants have chosen to host the event again at Agritechnica 2007 in Hanover on 13 November. This conference provides valuable exchanges of views and experiences on current major trends within the sector. It is organised by the European Arable Farmers Club (EAF), the European Association of Grain Traders (COCERAL), the German Farmers Union and the DLG. The conference takes place at the close of the official Agritechnica opening day in the Convention Center (CC) in Room 1A at the exhibition grounds in Hanover. Conference languages are German, English and Russian. 
The European Wheat Event features presentations by trader and broker Jürgen Kiefer of Bad Münster speaking on current developments in European wheat markets, secretary general Chantal Fauth of the European Association of Grain Traders (COCERAL) giving a presentation on food and feed safety and Nikolay Arzamastsev, director of common affairs with the Moscow-based seed company Rossiyuskie Semena speaking on the challenges of the Russian seed sector. The subsequent get-together evening offers opportunities for detailed sharing of views and experiences. Jan Paul van Hoven from the Netherlands, president of the European Arable Farmers Club opens the European Wheat Event and concluding remarks are from Dr. Klaus Kliem, president of the Thuringian Farmers Union and chairman of the cereals committee within the German Farmers Union.
Registration is required before attending the European Wheat Event.
