Selected regional and supra-regional trains will make an extra stop at the Exhibition Grounds (Hanover/ Messe Laatzen). The “Skywalk”, a bridge with conveyor belt, takes you quickly and comfortably from the exhibition station Laatzen to Entrance West 1.

If you are travelling from Hanover Central Station, you can reach the Exhibition Grounds with the urban railway Line 8 and 18 in 18 minutes. At the Central Station follow the blue signs with the letter “U”. A single ticket costs € 2.10 (adults).

Environmental Emission Zone
In order to improve the air quality and reduce fine dust contamination levels, an increasing number of German cities – like Hanover – are introducing signposted official emission zones. Only vehicles carrying an official permit (disc-shaped sticker) are allowed to drive in these zones (with a few exceptions). The Exhibition Grounds are located outside Hanover’s emission zone. However, as of 1 January 2009 you need a yellow or green official permit in order to be able to drive in large parts of the city.
