Criteria for AGRITECHNICA innovation awards

Each exhibitor is entitled to submit innovations to the DLG. After intensive information and discussion an impartial committee takes a majority decision on which products are to be awarded a Gold or Silver Medal.

Gold Medal for Innovations

Gold Medals for Innovations will be awarded for products with a concept showing new functions or which can essentially improve known processes.

The following aspects are crucial for the award of a Gold Medal:

Importance for practical application
Advantages for farm and labour management
Improvement of the environmental and energy situation
Effects facilitating work and safety at work

Silver Medal for Innovations

Silver Medals for Innovations will be awarded for products which have been developed further in such a fashion that an essential improvement of the function or the process may be expected. However, the products does not totally satisfy the criteria for the award of a Gold Medal for Innovations.

Advantages in work performance
Improvement of operational reliability
