Silver: The John Deere Tractor-Implement Automation addresses the efficiency potentials resulting from optimising the overall system of tractor and implement for the first time. This is being shown taking a John Deere 864 round baler as an example. Automatic working width recording. The new system always determines the correct cutter unit width in operation via GPS. Automatic steering in row drilling. Automatic steering systems have to work very precisely for row drilling (e.g. maize). The spectrum of applications of row recognition sensors is greatly restricted as a result. The system presented effectively combines several parameters and offers an optimal solution for all conditions.
